My Paper Heart

Shelbi Huntter.
20.
Olivet Nazarene University.

Just a small town girl from Nebraska trying to figure out my calling in life. I would not be where I am without God. He is the Protector, Healer, Comforter, and Strength in time of need.

I love reading, babysitting, blankets, rain, slightly cloudy days, being outside, the smell of a new book, photography, music, movies, small towns, the country, new people and old friends. Most of all I love my Heavenly Father and seek to honor Him in all that I do!!

I am more than willing to answer any and all questions and will do so honestly and with an open heart and mind! :)

if google just disappeared from the internet

and then we couldn’t google what happened to it

because google was gone

It took me a good two minutes to work out that that is a picture of a person in a translucent waterslide and not someone trapped in a human test tube in a horror film

24 Parents Who Are Doing it Right

YES.

This makes me wish I still had my dad…

AW!

I want my kids one day to have a father who does these kinds of things. Who loves them, invests in their lives, and wants to spend quality time with them. I want my kids to have the father I never did.

98 year old dobri dobrev, a man who lost his hearing in the second world war, walks 10 kilometers from his village in his homemade clothes and leather shoes to the city of sofia, where he spends the day begging for money.

though a well known fixture around several of the city’s chruches, known for his prostrations of thanks to all donors, it was only recently discovered that he has donated every penny he has collected — over 40,000 euros — towards the restoration of decaying bulgarian monasteries and churches and the utility bills of orphanages, living instead off his monthly state pension of 80 euros.

there’s still good in this world

Life is very much about rule breaking, about confrontation. Otherwise history would just stand still. Someone has to come along and break the rules and try for whatever reason to go about things a different way. Even if it is a simple sense of adventure, a sense of exploration. You explore concepts and things that interest you, but you are also exploring inside of yourself.

I would love to say that you make me weak in the knees but to be quite upfront and completely truthful you make my body forget it has knees at all.
